All aboard! Catch The Cycle Haus shuttle to North Idaho’s best Rail to Trails – The Trail of the Coeur D Alenes and Route of the Hiawatha. We’ll pickup you and your bike and take you to the trailhead of your choice.
The bus is equipped with spacious bucket seating and seatbelts, large windows for viewing the breathtaking scenery, a TV featuring The Movie Idaho, and a trailered bike rack system to keep your bike safe and secure during travel.
Ride the Trail of the Coeur D Alenes one way. Take a roundtrip shuttle to and from the Hiawatha. Plan a multi-day adventure for both trails. The possibilities are endless!
The eastbound shuttle for the Trail of the Coeur D Alenes departs The Cycle Haus in Harrison, ID at 8AM. It stops at Bull Run, Cataldo, Enaville, Kellogg, Wallace, and Mullan. This is an ideal shuttle for before your ride. We’ll take you and your bike to the trailhead of your choice. You’ll then bike back to your vehicle on the Trail of the Coeur D Alenes. The midday westbound shuttle for the Trail of the Coeur D Alenes departs the Mullan Trailhead at 11:30AM. It stops at Wallace, Kellogg, Enaville, Cataldo, Bull Run, and Harrison. Cycle in the morning and catch this shuttle after your ride. Alternatively, catch the shuttle before your ride and bike back to your vehicle in the afternoon.
This shuttle brings riders and their bikes to and from the Route of the Hiawatha. Riders are picked up in Harrison, Kellogg, or Wallace and taken to Taft, MT, approximately 2 miles from the Hiawatha’s East Portal Trailhead. Choose a one-way ticket to bike back to your vehicle via Moon Pass or the Nor-Pac Trail; or choose a roundtrip ticket for a return ride back to your vehicle. - Harrison Zone:
The Cycle Haus in Harrison
The Cycle Haus is located at 100 N Coeur D Alene Ave in downtown Harrison, ID. The bike shop is located behind the restaurant.
- Chain Lake Zone:
Bull Run Trailhead
Shuttle drop off and pickup is located at the intersection of Hwy 3 and S Bull Run Rd in Rose Lake, ID. If your are being picked up, please park at the Bull Run Trailhead across the one lane bridge and then bike back to the meeting location. The shuttle is unable to cross the bridge. The Bull Run Trailhead is a short 1/3 mile ride from the shuttle meeting location.
- CDA River Zone:
Cataldo Trailhead
Shuttle drop off is located near the Timbers Roadhouse across Riverview Rd. from the Cataldo Trailhead. If you are being picked up, please park at the Cataldo Trailhead. The Cataldo Trailhead is located at the corner of Rivewview Rd and S Latour Creek Rd in Cataldo, ID.
Enaville Trailhead
The Enaville Trailhead is located at approximately 1316 Coeur D'Alene River Rd, Kingston, ID 83839. Depending on traffic, pickup or drop off may be across Coeur D Alene River Rd at The Snake Pit Restaurant.
Kellogg Trailhead
The Kellogg Trailhead is located at 10 Station Ave in Kellogg, ID. Parking is available on the west side of Division St along the greenway bordering the trail.
- Mountain Zone:
Wallace Chamber
Pick up and drop off for Wallace is at the Wallace Chamber of Commerce located at 10 River St in Wallace, ID. Please note that this is not the official Wallace Trailhead for the Trail of the Coeur D Alenes.
Mullan Trailhead
The Mullan Trailhead is located at 115 2nd St in Mullan, ID. Pickups and drop offs are at the trailhead.
- Hiawatha Zone:
Taft, MT (Hiawatha)
Shuttle drop off and pickup is at Rainy Creek Rd near Exit 5 of I-90 in Taft, MT. The Route of the Hiawatha is located approximately 2 miles south on Rainy Creek Rd at the East Portal Trailhead.

FAQ's
- Where does the shuttle go? Our shuttle leaves our bike shop in Harrison, ID and heads Northeast along HWY 3 and East along I-90, stopping at multiple trailheads along the way for pickups and drop offs. The Trail of the Coeur D Alene shuttle ends in Mullan, ID. We then continue on to Taft, MT near the start of the Route of the Hiawatha. After that, we turn around and do it all over again in the other direction!
- Where can I park? The City of Harrison has ample street parking and people often leave their cars overnight in town. There is also plenty of parking at the trailheads, however trailheads do not allow overnight parking.
- Will my bike fit on the shuttle? Our shuttle can accommodate nearly all standard acoustic (non-electric) and electric bikes. If you have a tandem or recumbent please call 208-689-3436 Ext 1 to make sure your bike fits.
- Are you able to offer rides to places other than those on your route? Yes. We offer shuttle rides to different destinations on a case by case basis. Please call 208.689.3436 Ext 1 for availability and pricing. Due to cost, groups of 4 or more are recommended for custom shuttles.
- Why does your shuttle not go south to Plummer? The Trail of the Coeur D Alene's offers a shortcut for cyclists across Lake Coeur D Alene. This makes the bike ride to Plummer only 15.3 miles. Unfortunately, the bus ride is a much longer 37 miles, taking almost an hour.
- I can't find the day I want. Can I still get a shuttle? Possibly. Please call us at 208.689.3436 Ext 1 and we can check shuttle driver availability. Due to cost, groups of 4 or more are recommended for custom shuttles.
- Why do you have a two person minimum? Our shuttle is a large 14 passenger bus, which takes extensive fuel to operate. It doesn't make environmental or economical sense to operate the shuttle with less than 2 passengers.
- If I book 2 tickets, but only have 1 rider, will you refund my money for the extra ticket if more people book the shuttle after me? Yes, if you are a single rider, but are booking 2 tickets to reserve your shuttle, we will refund your money for the extra ticket if the shuttle later meets or exceeds the 2 person minimum. Please just ask the attendant on the day of your ride if the minimum was met with another rider. If it has, we will issue a refund for the additional ticket you purchased.
- What should I know about the Hiawatha? We offer both 1 way and roundtrip shuttles to and from the Route of the Hiawatha. Pickup is available in Harrison, Kellogg, and Wallace. If you're taking a one-way shuttle, you'll need to ride back to your vehicle via Moon Pass or the Nor-Pac Trail. This is a pretty intense ride without cell coverage, so be prepared! For our less adventurous riders, you can book a roundtrip shuttle. Meet back in Taft, MT near the start of the Hiawatha for your return trip. Bike rentals are also available for the Hiawatha.
- Is this the Shuttle that goes from the bottom to the top of the Hiawatha? This is not the shuttle that takes riders from the bottom to the top of the Hiawatha. That shuttle can be booked with Lookout Pass.
- Help! I can't book my shuttle online! It's possible that you are attempting to book one ticket for a shuttle that doesn't have any passengers yet. You may book for two passengers or wait till the shuttle books up more. Once two people have booked a spot, the website will allow one person bookings.
