The Bull Run Trailhead is a bit off the beaten path. Despite this, the trailhead is centrally located for riders looking to ride in the Coeur D Alene River Valley, making it a popular trailhead. This can mean limited parking during the peak season.
The trailhead is located near the town of Rose Lake. From I-90, take exit 34. Head south on Highway 3. In approximately 3.2 miles turn left on S Bull Run Rd/Queen St. Cross over the CDA River on the one lane bridge. Honk your horn to let other vehicles know you’re coming. Turn Right to stay on S Bull Run Road. The trailhead is straight ahead in .2 miles.
There are restrooms, picnic tables, and a bike repair station at this trailhead. This trailhead is accessed by a dirt road and a one lane bridge. It is not recommended for large RV’s, trailers, or other large vehicles that need pull through/circular parking. This parking area is a dead end.
The trailhead is in a beautiful location next to Bull Run Lake. This is a great spot for a picnic lunch.
Bull Run is a pick up and drop off location for the Cycle Haus Shuttle Service.

Continue to be on the lookout for wildlife in this area, particularly in the surrounding wetlands.
